Hinged Security Screen Doors in Melbourne, measured and installed free
Best for: Front, rear and side entrances
A hinged security screen door adds a second barrier at your entrance. Leave the main door open for fresh air while the screen door stays locked. We fit them to front, back and side doors.
You choose the frame, the mesh or grille, and the lock to suit your needs and budget. Options include a diamond grille, Tuff mesh, Aluguard, stainless steel mesh and Xguard. Depending on the setup, you can also add a door closer and a bottom bug strip.
We check the opening, measure, and talk you through the choices before we install. How secure a door is depends on the whole system: the mesh, the frame, the locks and the fitting. Your quote names the exact option, and we explain what it does.
Mesh and infill options
Every door is quoted with the exact infill named, so you know what you are comparing.

Single & double diamond grille
Classic aluminium grille over flyscreen mesh. The most economical option; a visual deterrent with insect protection.

Flyscreen mesh
Fibreglass or aluminium insect mesh. Keeps insects out and lets air in; not a security product.

Tuff mesh
A heavier-gauge aluminium mesh for extra durability against pets, kids and everyday knocks.

Aluguard mesh
Perforated aluminium sheet in a security-rated frame. Good airflow and outlook, corrosion resistant.

Stainless steel mesh
Woven 316 marine-grade stainless steel. High strength with near-clear visibility; suits coastal areas.

Xguard mesh
Premium stainless steel security mesh with a slim, modern look. Our top-tier option.
Security performance depends on the complete system: mesh, frame, locks and installation. Insect-screen mesh is not security-rated mesh. We explain the specification of the option in your quote.

Hinged Security Screen Doors questions
What is the difference between a diamond grille and a mesh security door?
A diamond grille is an aluminium grille over fly mesh and is the most economical option. Mesh doors use perforated aluminium (Aluguard) or stainless steel (Xguard, stainless mesh) in a security-rated frame.
Which mesh should I choose?
Flyscreen mesh is for insects only. Tuff mesh is a heavier aluminium mesh. Aluguard is perforated aluminium. Stainless steel and Xguard are the strongest and give the clearest view.
Do your security doors have a door closer?
A door closer and a bottom bug strip are available depending on the configuration you choose.
